1950 - Kraft develops rindless cheese.
1954 - 1954 saw the introduction of Mayonnaise (10oz), Cheddar Portions and Cracker Barrel Cheese.
1956 - Philadelphia Cream Cheese was launched onto the Australian market in 1956. This was the first cream cheese to be commercially produced in Australia. The product itself originated from the city of Philadelphia, in the USA in 1872.
The late 50s - Cheddar cheese commercially manufactured. In the late 1950s Kraft carried out the world's first commercial manufacture of cheddared cheese. Kraft also pioneered the collection of milk by motor transport for cheese factories, and led the way with the introduction of refrigerated milk vats on farms and tanker collection of milk.
1957 - Launch of Coon Cheese.
1959 - Deluxe processed cheese slices.
