1948 - Canned meats, exports and foil lining - a busy year! In January 1948, foil lining was perfected as the best medium for maintaining optimum freshness for Kraft Cheddar. The cheese also entered the export market in a blue can, which was shipped to Saudi Arabia.
Canned meats were relaunched under the Kraft brand name
(originally Red Feather).
